Jena, in Group A, will start at 1:50 pm. If successful in the qualifiers, they will compete in the final on August 8 at 11:00 pm.
Hockey: Time to rewrite history
Following their thrilling victory against Great Britain, the Indian men’s hockey team aims to reach the final. They will face Germany in the semi-final, scheduled to start at 10:30 pm Indian time. The team seeks to make it to the Olympics final for the first time since 1980.
Wrestling: Vinesh Phogat to start her campaign
Women’s wrestler Vinesh Phogat will begin her campaign in the 50 kg category at 3:00 pm. After a setback with an elbow dislocation against North Korea’s Sol Gum Pak, Nisha Dahiya will compete in repcharge round, but that depends on Pak. If she reaches into the finals, then only Nisha will play her match.
Table Tennis: A tough challenge for the men’s team
Following their successful Round of 16 win, India’s men’s team will face China in the next round, starting at 1:30 pm.
