Η Ινδία θα αντιμετωπίσει την Αυστραλία στο πρώτο BGT Test στο Περθ από τις 22 Νοεμβρίου.
Sledging is a very common appearance in the IND vs AUS Test series. And ahead of the Border Gavaskar Trophy, Cheteshwar Pujara went on to recall a funny incident when Josh Hazlewood stopped sledging because he was tired of watching Pujara’s face on the crease.
During his time, Cheteshwar Pujara was a player of a different calibre. Nowadays when batters always have the mindset to score runs quickly, Pujara was different. He played Test cricket to its true nature often showcasing the significance of the ‘art of leaving’ deliveries. And this caused major headaches for the opposition.

Hazlewood didn’t want to see Pujara’s face
Pujara went on to recall a funny anecdote in a previous Border Gavaskar Trophy series. The former number 3 batter continued to stay on the crease for a long time which constantly frustrated the Aussie pacer.
“There’s a point where they stopped sledging. They saw my face for so long that they stopped. Hazleweeood said he saw so much of Pujara on the field that he didn’t want to see Pujara any more on videos later on,” Cheteshwar Pujara in the Star Sports Press Room.
With that being said, Pujara shared a small laugh. He indirectly went on to indicate that the best way to respond to sledging is my staying on the crease and continuing to score runs. In this way, the bowlers and the opposition would stop finally after getting frustrated.
